Kun Khmer (Khmer martial arts) are traditional fighting arts of the Khmer people that have existed for centuries. Evidence of these martial traditions can be seen in the stone carvings on the walls of ancient temples, especially those from the Angkor period. During competitions, fighters are often seen wearing traditional headbands (mongkol) and armbands, which reflect ritual, respect, and cultural identity in combat.
